New Technology Overview
Dr. Kammeyer has been placing Dental Implants since 1985. He is certified for IV Concious Sedation, also known as Twilight Sleep and is current in his training in Advanced Cardiac Life Support. These methods of sedation, along with local anesthetic, make our procedures relatively Pain Free Dentistry.
Although our practice focuses on Surgery for Implant Dentistry, Dr. Kammeyer offers Complete Care surgical services such as Extractions, Sinus Bone Regeneration, Guided Bone Regeneration, Guided Tissue Regeneration and all procedures associated with Tooth Replacement.
Being on the leading edge of dental technology, our office uses digital computerized X-rays and CAT scan’s, which helps us get detailed information for Dr. Kammeyer to make the decisions pertaining to each patient’s individual care. This makes avoiding nerves and knowing where vital structures are very predictable. We use these services in our office daily.
We also use the latest technology in surgical dental materials, including Growth Factors, that aid in the regeneration of tissue and bone. We commonly use Platelet Derived Growth Factor (rhPDGF) or Gem 21 by Osteohealth and Bone Morphogenic Protein (rhBMP 2) by Medtronics.
He has been using banked bone and tissue products for decades such as freeze dried mineralized bone, from reputable bone processing sources and bovine bone products such as Osseograph and Bio-oss. He has also been using banked soft tissue products (Allografts) such as Aloderm from BioHorizons.
Dr. Kammeyer uses Resonance Frequency Analysis to determine the implant stability quotient for each implant. This helps assure you and your resorative dentist that the implants are well integrated and ready to be restored when tested. This is a product from Ostell.
Many patients have questions regarding Immediate Teeth. Every patient has their own individual circumstances and in many cases patients are candidates for Same Day Teeth, or “Teeth within a Day”. These decisions are made upon evaluation of Dental X-rays and clinical examination and your specific wants. This method is especially helpful for those that want to avoid a denture when they are losing teeth.
